Terms of Membership

▶ Article 1 Purpose

The purpose of these Terms and Conditions is to define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of users in relation to the internet services provided by “dbovine.”

▶ Article 2 Definitions

1) “dbovine” refers to the online business platform created to allow users to trade goods or services using computers or other information and communication devices.

2) “User” refers to any individual or corporate member who accesses dbovine and receives services according to these Terms.

3) “Member” refers to a user who provides personal or corporate information to dbovine, registers as a member, continuously receives information from dbovine, and is eligible to use its services on an ongoing basis.


▶ Article 3 Posting and Revision of the Terms

1) dbovine posts these Terms, along with the company name, business address, representative’s name, business registration number, and contact information (telephone, fax, email, etc.), on a designated page of the website for users to easily access.

2) dbovine may revise these Terms within the scope that does not violate relevant laws, including the Regulation of Standardized Contracts Act, Framework Act on Electronic Commerce, Electronic Signature Act, Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization, Door-to-Door Sales Act, and Consumer Protection Act.

3) When revising the Terms, dbovine will specify the effective date and reason for revision, and notify users at least 7 days prior to the effective date by posting both the current and revised Terms.

4) Matters not specified in these Terms or interpretations thereof shall follow the consumer protection guidelines for electronic commerce established by the government, relevant laws, or commercial practices.


▶ Article 4 Provision and Modification of Services

1) dbovine performs the following tasks:
- Providing information about goods or services and facilitating purchase agreements
- Supplying goods or services for which a purchase agreement has been made
- Providing services related to acting on behalf of users in purchase negotiations

2) If dbovine must change the details of a service agreed upon with the user due to reasons such as product unavailability or changes in technical specifications, dbovine will take necessary measures and promptly notify the user.


▶ Article 5 Suspension of Services

1) dbovine may temporarily suspend service provision in the event of circumstances such as system maintenance, replacement or malfunction of information and communication facilities, or interruption of communication.

2) Due to such temporary suspension of services as stated in paragraph 1, dbovine shall compensate users for any damages incurred, up to the amount of the purchase price.
However, this does not apply if dbovine is not at fault, whether intentionally or negligently.


▶ Article 6 Membership Registration

1)  A user applies for membership by filling out the membership form designated by dbovine and indicating their agreement to these Terms.

2) dbovine registers as members those users who apply under paragraph 1, unless they fall under any of the following:
- If the applicant has previously lost membership according to Article 7, Section 3
- If the registered information contains false entries, omissions, or errors
- If registering the applicant as a member is deemed to significantly hinder dbovine’s technical operations

3) The membership contract is considered established at the point when dbovine accepts the application.

4) If any of the user’s registered information under Article 14, Section 1 changes, the member must directly update the information through the "My Page" menu.


▶ Article 7 Membership Withdrawal and Disqualification

1) Members may request withdrawal at any time, and dbovine shall process the withdrawal within 24 hours.

2) dbovine may restrict or suspend membership if the member falls under any of the following:
- Registering false information when applying for membership
- Failing to pay for goods or services purchased via dbovine or other obligations by the due date
- Interfering with another person’s use of dbovine or stealing their information, thereby disrupting electronic transaction order
- Engaging in activities prohibited by laws or these Terms, or contrary to public morals

3) If dbovine disqualifies a member, the member’s registration will be deleted.
In such cases, dbovine will notify the member and provide an opportunity to explain before deletion.


▶ Article 8 Notification to Members

1) When dbovine issues notifications to members, such notice may be sent to the email address submitted by the member.

▶ Article 9 Purchase Application

Users apply for purchases on dbovine through the following process:

1. Selection of goods or services
2. Membership registration
3. Entering delivery information
4. Selecting a payment method
5. Reconfirming the password



▶ Article 10 Formation of Contract

1) dbovine may accept purchase applications as described in Article 9, unless any of the following apply:
- The application contains false entries, omissions, or errors
- A minor attempts to purchase goods or services prohibited for minors under the Youth Protection Act (e.g., tobacco, alcohol)
- Accepting the application is deemed to significantly hinder dbovine’s technical operations

2) A contract is considered established at the time the user receives dbovine’s acceptance in the form of a notification of receipt as described in Article 11, Section 1.


▶ Article 11 Methods of Payment

Payment for goods or services purchased through dbovine may be made using one of the following methods:

1. Credit card payment
2. Online bank transfer (deposit without bankbook)
3. Account transfer through a payment agency
4. Payment using reward points


▶ Article 12 Notification of Receipt / Modification and Cancellation of Purchase Application

1) When a user submits a purchase application, dbovine sends the user a notification of receipt.
2) Upon receiving the notification, the user may request modification or cancellation of the purchase within 24 hours if there is any discrepancy in their intent.
3) If such a request from the user is received, dbovine will process the modification or cancellation accordingly.


▶ Article 13 Delivery

1) Delivery dates are selected according to the user’s request, and exact delivery dates will be communicated via email after confirmation. (Average delivery time is within 10 days.)
2) dbovine is not responsible for delays caused by the user's absence at the time of delivery.
3) dbovine is not liable for delivery delays or failures caused by natural disasters or force majeure.
4) For international shipping, the user is responsible for shipping fees and all associated delivery risks.


▶ Article 14 Refunds, Withdrawal of Offer, and Effects of Withdrawal

1) If dbovine is unable to supply goods due to stock shortage or other reasons, it shall notify the user without delay and refund any payment received within two business days.
2) Users who purchase items such as talismans (cyber talismans) or temple services may withdraw their offer up to 24 hours before the designated auspicious date or the start of the ritual, in accordance with Article 17(2)-5 and Article 21 of the Enforcement Decree of the Consumer Protection Act in Electronic Commerce.
3) After receiving the product, users may not return or exchange it under the following conditions:
1. When the item has been lost or damaged due to reasons attributable to the user (However, opening the package to check the contents does not restrict cancellation.)
2. When the value of the item has significantly decreased due to the user’s use or partial consumption
3. When the value has significantly decreased over time, making resale difficult
4. When the packaging of an item that can be reproduced into the same function has been damaged
4) If dbovine does not clearly indicate such restrictions in advance, returns and cancellations are not limited.
5) Regardless of paragraphs 2 and 3, if the received product differs from its description or the contract, the user may withdraw within three months from receipt or within 30 days from the date they became aware of the issue.
6) When a return is initiated, dbovine will refund the amount paid within three business days.
If the refund is delayed, dbovine shall pay interest on the delayed period according to the rate prescribed by the Fair Trade Commission.
7) If the user paid by credit card or electronic payment, dbovine will promptly request cancellation of the charge from the respective payment provider.
8) The user bears the cost of returning items for normal withdrawal.
dbovine does not charge penalties or damages for withdrawal.
However, if the withdrawal is due to product misrepresentation, dbovine bears the return cost.
9) If the user paid a shipping fee at the time of purchase, dbovine must clearly indicate which party is responsible for shipping costs in the event of withdrawal.


▶ Article 15 Protection of Personal Information

1) dbovine collects only the minimum necessary personal information required to fulfill purchase contracts. Required information includes:
Name / Gender
Date of birth
Address
Telephone / Mobile phone
Desired ID / Password / Nickname
2) dbovine obtains consent from the user when collecting any personally identifiable information.
3) Provided personal information shall not be used for purposes other than stated or shared with third parties without the user’s consent.
dbovine is responsible for any violation of this rule.
Exceptions include:
- When required to share minimal information with delivery companies (name, address, phone number)
- When used in a non-identifiable format for statistics, research, or market analysis
4) When consent is required, dbovine will inform the user of the privacy officer’s information (department, name, contact), the purpose of collection and use, and details on third-party sharing. The user may withdraw consent at any time.
5) Users may view or request corrections to their personal information at any time.
dbovine must promptly take necessary action.
If correction is requested, dbovine will not use that information until correction is completed.
6) dbovine limits access to personal information to authorized personnel only and is responsible for any loss, theft, leakage, or alteration of personal information, including credit card or bank account data.
7) When the purpose of collection is fulfilled, dbovine or any third party that received the information must immediately destroy it.


▶ Article 16 Obligations of dbovine

1) When the purpose of collection is fulfilled, dbovine or any third party that received the information must immediately destroy it.
2) dbovine shall implement security systems to protect users’ personal information, including credit information, enabling safe use of internet services.
3) If dbovine engages in misleading or false advertising regarding goods or services, it is liable for damages incurred by users.

▶ Article 17 Obligations of Members Regarding ID and Password

1) Except as provided in Article 15, the responsibility for managing the member’s ID and password lies solely with the member.
2) Members must not allow their ID or password to be used by any third party.
3) If a member discovers that their ID or password has been stolen or used by a third party, they must immediately notify dbovine and follow any instructions provided by dbovine.


▶ Article 18 Obligations of Users

Users must not engage in the following acts:

1) Registering false information when applying or making changes
2) Altering information posted on dbovine
3) Transmitting or posting information (such as computer programs) other than what dbovine specifies
4) Infringing on dbovine’s or any third party’s copyrights or intellectual property rights
5) Damaging the reputation of dbovine or third parties, or interfering with their business
6) Posting or publicly displaying obscene, violent, or otherwise unethical content on dbovine


▶ Article 19 Relationship Between dbovine and Linked Sites

1) When the main site and a subordinate site are connected by hyperlinks (including text, images, videos, etc.), the main site is referred to as the “linking site,” and the subordinate site is referred to as the “linked site.”
2) The linking site does not assume responsibility for transactions between users and the linked site involving goods or services independently provided by the linked site.


▶ Article 20 Ownership of Copyrights and Restrictions on Use

1) Copyrights and other intellectual property rights for content created by dbovine belong to dbovine.
2) Users must not use information obtained through dbovine for commercial purposes—such as reproducing, transmitting, publishing, distributing, or broadcasting—nor allow third parties to do so without prior written consent from dbovine. Violation may result in legal liability under applicable regulations.


▶ Article 21 Dispute Resolution

1) dbovine designates a complaint handling officer to reflect legitimate user complaints and to compensate for any related damages.
2) dbovine prioritizes resolving user complaints and opinions. If immediate resolution is difficult, dbovine will notify the user of the reason and the expected processing schedule without delay.
3) Disputes between dbovine and users may be resolved through mediation by the Electronic Commerce Dispute Mediation Committee established under Article 28 of the Framework Act on Electronic Commerce and Article 15 of its Enforcement Decree.

▶ Article 22 Jurisdiction and Governing Law

1) Lawsuits regarding electronic transaction disputes between dbovine and users shall be filed with the competent court under the Civil Procedure Act.
2) Korean law shall apply to electronic transaction disputes brought between dbovine and users.
